We know because we built software traditionally for years. Our prior work includes manufacturing execution systems, cutting-edge finance, venture-scaled and indie-scaled startups. Everything from enterprise software to low-level robotics.

And software wasn't just expensive and hard to create. Once built, any software artifact had a rapidly approaching expiration date, whether due to changing business needs, discovered vulnerabilities, or unstable dependencies. So creating software felt a lot like building on a foundation of quicksand–drowning in tiny changes.
